The Creative Challenge
Broad & Washington sits in one of Philadelphia’s most recognizable art districts, so the artwork had a lot to live up to. The collection needed to acknowledge that history without feeling tied to the past. Scale added another layer to the project. Every piece had to be produced, transported, and installed at architectural proportions, all without losing the detail and presence that luxury spaces demand.
The Strategic Solution
We gave classical artwork a second opinion. Contemporary details and gold leaf embellishments shifted each piece into a completely different context without losing the character of the originals. The collection was produced at an architectural scale, ready for the realities of fabrication, transport, and installation. Residents are now welcomed by artwork that feels familiar at first glance, yet rewards a closer look. It couldn’t have found a better address than Philadelphia’s Art Museum District.
