The Creative Challenge
The brief called for one uninterrupted artwork stretching from floor to ceiling. There was just one complication: an HVAC access panel sat right in the middle of it and needed to remain fully functional. Ignoring it wasn’t an option, and neither was letting it interrupt the design. The artwork needed to look complete at all times while still allowing quick access whenever maintenance was required, without drawing attention to the solution itself.
The Strategic Solution
A removable section was built directly into the artwork, allowing the HVAC panel to stay fully accessible without interrupting the design. Hidden fixing points and carefully matched caps kept everything looking clean, while the center panel could be removed and replaced in minutes whenever access was needed. Once installed, the panel blended in so well that even the design team had to look twice to find it. We’d call that a job well done!
