The Creative Challenge
Production off-cuts usually don’t get a second chance. We thought that was worth changing. The brief was to create two custom abstract 3D artworks using only leftover materials from previous projects, with sustainability driving every decision along the way. Every off-cut arrived with its own size, shape, and finish already locked in, so the challenge was figuring out how those existing pieces could work together in a way that felt deliberate from every angle.
The Strategic Solution
Instead of ordering new materials, we worked with what was already in the workshop. By carefully arranging 322 production off-cuts, we created two bespoke artworks that brought texture, depth, movement, and character into the space while giving surplus materials a new purpose. The finished pieces feel every bit as intentional as any custom installation, while showing that great ideas don’t always begin with something brand new.
